What is Activator Methods®?
Dr. Casey uses Activator Methods®, one of the most popular "low force" chiropractic techniques in the world.
First, we evaluate how your spine moves by testing how well you turn and bend. While you are lying face down, Dr. Casey asks you to perform simple movements (much like playing Simon Says) and examines the length of your legs. These simple movements can result in profound leg length differences which shows Dr. Casey where, when, and when not to adjust.
What is the Activator?
The Activator Instrument is a hand-held, spring-loaded instrument that is able to deliver a gentle, specific, and repeatable force at just the right angle. The adjustment the Activator Instrument delivers is up to 300 times faster than the human hands. Since it is so fast the body rarely tightens to resist making adjustments more effective and comfortable for you, the patient. Using the Activator the doctor can adjust more than just the spine. For example, it is effective for the joints in the jaw, wrists, knees, and ankles.
